Mobile mechanic software for work done on the driveway

Jobs, parts, labour and photos from wherever the car is. The part cost goes on the job when you buy it, so the invoice is built from what happened and the margin is not a guess made on the phone.

No card required · Cancel in one click

The OlasBoard job pipeline as mobile mechanics use it: leads, booked jobs, work in progress and done, each with the client, the date and the price
  • Margin after parts, per job
  • Photos of the fault on the record
  • Works with no signal
  • Second mechanic included

What goes wrong between the phone call and the invoice

“The part costs more than I said it would on the phone.”

Quote first, then put the real part cost on the job when you buy it. The invoice comes off the finished job, and what you made is the price minus the part — a number you can see before you decide whether that job was worth doing again.

“I cannot remember what I did on this car last year.”

Every customer keeps their history: each job, what it cost, what you replaced, the photos you took. The last visit is one tap away on the driveway.

“Photos of the fault end up in my camera roll.”

They attach to the job with the time and the person who took them, and can go out with the invoice — which is how a customer sees why the bill is what it is.

“There is no signal on that lane.”

Work done offline is queued and uploaded when coverage returns. Starting, finishing and photographing a job do not need bars.

“Invoices happen on Sunday night.”

The invoice comes off the job in one step and goes by email or WhatsApp before you drive off. Unpaid ones get chased on a schedule without you writing the message.

“Adding a second mechanic doubles the software bill.”

Seats come with the plan, so the second van does not appear on the invoice for software.

A no-start, call to paid

  1. 08:15Call: will not start. It goes on as a job with the address and the symptoms.
  2. 09:40On the driveway. Photos of the fault on the job, diagnosis in the notes.
  3. 10:05Quote for the alternator, out from the phone, with your terms.
  4. 11:30Part collected. The receipt goes on the job as a cost.
  5. 13:10Running. Invoice out from the driveway before you leave.
  6. Month endWhat jobs made after parts — by customer, and by type of work.

The real problem is not knowing what is going on in your own business

Everything else follows from that. If you cannot see it, you cannot price it, chase it, or tell who is carrying the work.

Do you actually know what you made last month?
Not turnover — what was left. Income, costs and the margin on every job in one place, so the answer is a screen rather than an evening with a bank statement.
You pay a manager. Can you see what they did?
Leads handled, how fast they answered, what converted. From the record, not from their summary of it.
Which of your clients are still short?
One definition of unpaid across every screen, and the late ones chased on a schedule with the message already written.
Did anybody actually go to that job?
When it was taken, when it started, when it finished, and the photos from while they were there.
Are you pricing the work right?
What you quoted sits next to what it took. After a dozen jobs you are pricing from your own history instead of hoping.

Numbers from what people did, not from what they reported

Most tools tell you what somebody typed into them. These figures come off the work itself: the moment a job was taken, the moment it was started, the moment it was finished, the hours that fall out of that, and the photos attached while the person was standing there.

Nobody writes their own report card. That is the difference between a dashboard you believe and one you argue with.

Per-person performance reporting is on the Business plan. Job records, timings and photo proof are on every plan.

For anyone running a crew

Stop ringing round to fill a job

The job goes to the whole crew at once and the first person free takes it. No calls, no group chat you have to keep track of afterwards.

  1. 01

    You add the job

Client, address, time, price. Thirty seconds, from the van.

  2. 02

    The whole crew sees it

One offer to everyone instead of five messages sent one at a time. Their phone buzzes.

  3. 03

The first one free takes it

Exactly one person gets it, however many tap at once — and nobody can take a job on top of one they already have.

  4. 04

    You find out without asking

It shows who took it. If nobody does, you hear about it in hours, not on the day.

And your crew does not cost extra

Most tools in this category price per user, and “user” means anyone with a login — your crew, your subcontractors, the person in the office. The bill grows every time you hire.

Here the seats come with the plan. €99 a month covers up to 20 people, and the price is the same whether 20 of them are working today or two.

Everything the job needs, in one app

Stop paying for five tools that do not talk to each other.

Built in, not sold separately

An assistant that has read your books

It sees your pipeline, your invoices, your expenses and your crew — and answers the questions a good business partner would.

  • “Who owes me money and how late are they?”
  • “Which of these leads should I ring first?”
  • “Am I actually making anything on recurring cleans?”
  • “Photograph this receipt and file it against yesterday's job.”

Ask by typing, by voice, or by photographing something. It advises and drafts — you stay the one who decides. Included from the €19 plan, not held back for an enterprise tier.

mobile mechanic software — questions

Can I see what a job made after the part?

Yes. Parts and other costs attach to the job, so margin is per job rather than a monthly figure that hides the ones you lost money on.

Does it keep a record per vehicle?

History is per customer, not per registration. Every job, price, note and photo for that person is kept — but there is no vehicle register with VIN, mileage or service schedule, and no diagnostic-tool integration.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Writes made offline queue up and sync when you are back in coverage.

Can I take payment on the driveway?

You record cash, card or a part payment against the invoice yourself and the balance follows. A pay-now link for the customer is not built yet.

Does it manage parts stock in the van?

No. Parts are costs against a job, not inventory.

Do I pay per mechanic?

No. Seats are included in the plan.
